NAMI Lake County, OH has an immediate opening for a Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Program Coordinator.

The MH/SUD Program Coordinator is responsible for the successful delivery of NAMI Lake County, OH's Signature Education Programs, presentations, and support services. The MH/SUD Program Coordinator is a full-time, exempt position. Candidate must have lived experience with a loved one who has been diagnosed with MH/SUD.

Position specifics:

  • Full time, exempt, salaried position, averaging 40 hrs./week.
  • Paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays (96 hrs. annually)
  • Some evening and weekends are required.
  • Salary commensurate with experience.

Required:

  • Associates degree with minimum of 3 years' experience in related mental health/AOD/social services field
  • Knowledge and professional experience with mental illness, co-occurring disorders, and the impacts on family systems; personal experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated empathy for those who have mental health and substance use disorders, as well as for their families.
  • High degree of competency using web-based databases and Microsoft Office suite, as well as virtual delivery platforms like Zoom, GoToMeetings, Adobe Connect, and Google Meets.
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and maintain several projects concurrently.
  • Well-organized, detail oriented and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to travel in-state and out-of-state for trainings and conferences.
  • Excellent planning, scheduling, and organizational skills
  • Collaborative working style with ability to relate and work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds.
